biography     Starting from a life below the surface, Orielle spent a good chunk of her early years with her kin and the many dangers her people had faced in Gelmorra. As the youngest of her and her brother, she often looked up to her brother, in particular, for his skills in both swordsmanship and magic. She was taught simple things, such as how to hunt, how to defend herself, how to cook, and so on.Her life, however, was entirely uprooted when she was forced to flee her home during a catastrophic disaster that destroyed the small village where she and many of the people had gathered. While also being tailed by unknown assailants, she and her brother were forced to separate, leaving Orielle alone as she escaped the perilous tunnels and emerged on the surface. From there, her life changed completely.Eventually, she was found and rescued by a Hyur named Maeric Holland, a man who had formerly set aside the life of a freebooter and adopted the adventurer's title and now became her guardian. The two later traveled to La Noscea, where she spent the better half of her adolescence and early adulthood helping where she could within Maeric's place of work: The Waving Willow. After many years of trying to discover her place in life, she's managed to find a comfortable place, spending most of her time traveling to all corners of the world, far beyond the life she was supposed to lead beneath the earth. Holding tight to her family's beliefs and the numerous experiences she's been handed above ground, she intends to make the most of her new life.

Hooks

  Bard-Friend
Bards and other performers always manage to catch her fancy. Whether it's the passing harpist or a person's singing voice, she's always been attracted to music from a very young age.
You can always bet she may be close by if you're playing an enticing enough tune.  Hireable Help
Orielle can often be seen taking on jobs offered by crafters, merchants, and more for the Adventurers' Guild, the Eorzean Alliance, and, most recently, the Dawn Hunt.
Whether they call upon her assistance for gathering materials, hunting monsters, or guarding caravans, she might be willing to offer her services to you, for a price.  Taverngoer   It's easy to find coin and opportunities when traveling through an inn or tavern. Many an adventurer might come across Orielle in places like the Quicksand or some other dingy coven of mercenary types. She'll rarely say no to a drink if the company's good.  Dutiful Sister   Senior members, both retired or otherwise, may remember seeing Orielle among the ranks of the Dutiful Sisters of the Edelwiss at an earlier age.Though she has since ceased most of her work with the Rogues' Guild and much of her file has been lost to the ages, she still clings to the Code that she enforced for the better half of her early adulthood. Gladiator She tends to visit all sorts of places where there's a good battle to be had. Whether it's the Bloodsands, underground fighting rings, or even a private duel, she's always open to going up against a fellow fighter. Collector
Old heirlooms, weapons, or ancient relics lost to time are something she seems particularly eager to search for, especially anything of Gelmorran origin.
She's probably a bit of a hoarder for these kinds of things. The Allure of Vermillion In recent times, she's shown a particular interest in the famed Crimson Duelists of Gyr Abania. Whether out of academic intrigue or a desire to take up the art herself, she's been reading a lot more about their history. If you happen to BE a Red Mage, she may just happen to seek you out as a possible teacher.

OOC Guidelines
IC ≠ OOC. My character is not me, and you are not yours!
I prefer In-game over discord, but I am willing to accommodate. My replies just may be slower, so sorry!
IRL first! This goes both ways. Roleplay is just a hobby at the end of the day. Be nice and be respectful of my time, and I'll do the same for you.
My general availability is Sunday thru Tuesday, anytime after 8pm EST/GMT-5. I am off Fridays, but am not always available! Feel free to ask!
Themes Accepted
Adventure/Expedition/Hunts: Top tier, big favorite. Any opportunity to take Orielle on any kind of hunt, expedition, adventure, they're all the go-to choices for her. I'm not a great DM, but I'm more than welcome to set up a scene or two for adventuring stuff.
Story/Core: I love writing out Orielle's more story-based scenes, and that goes for any of your characters! I'm not opposed to writing something that contributes to your character's development. Conflict, we love it.
SOL/Casual Scenes: I put my characters in casual scenarios where it works. Cozy venues or even just small tavern meetups, campfire vibes, etc. are all acceptable!
Intrigue: I do occasionally enjoy writing some investigative RP and other stuff. If it fits, this is accepted.
Combat/Conflict Scenes: I do genuinely love writing out combat scenes. Orielle has made many enemies in her life, especially regarding the Empire. Garleans, Imperials, or other people she's wronged, she might lash out at them, depending on who your character is.
Magic Scenes: I love scenes that involve magic and how Orielle reacts to it! Mages, even teaching moments are more than welcome.
Ask First
Romance: This is a HUGE ask as I prefer to put this at the very bottom of my priority for writing Orielle, as she already falls somewhere on the asexual spectrum. If this is a problem, simply seek elsewhere. Any sort of RP in this sort is always going to be a slowburn, if it even happens.
The Echo: Orielle DOES have the echo, but it does affect her a little differently than most. If you have a problem with this, we can avoid this topic.
Dark/Mature Scenes: Scenes that can involve potentially triggering themes ALWAYS need to be discussed first. PTSD, gore, excessive violence, etc. are usually off the table unless discussed prior.
Do Not Engage If...
You engage with transphobia, homophobia, racism, etc. won't be tolerated. F+ or any fetishization will be blacklisted as well. You have been warned.
You're looking for ERP or any kind of scenes regarding that. You will also be ignored.
Your character falls out of line of the FFXIV universe. Lore-Bending is acceptable within reason. If you can make it believable, I can work with it!
You're under 21. This isn't an exception. I prefer to write with people either around my age or older. I hope you understand!
You metagame, force interactions, or anything of the sort. Actions may have consequences, but all actions are considered attempts. This goes both ways!
You're looking for OOC Romance. Please seek elsewhere.
